On the standard H2 problem

Abstract
This note presents frequency domain solutions of the standard MIMO
$\mathcal{H}_2$ problem and some non-standard $\mathcal{H}_2$
problems. In the standard case the results are equivalent to the
well known state space formulae. The non-standard case is a fairly
straightforward generalization of the standard case and relies on
factorizations over polynomial matrices and stable matrices. Also,
a frequency domain formulation of LQR is explored.
